Bathroom cabinets become crowded because they hold several categories at once: daily care, backup supplies, cleaning products, travel sizes, and items that should probably leave the house. The edit starts by separating those jobs.

1. Check safety first

Before arranging bins, check expiration dates on medicine, skincare, sunscreen, and first-aid products. Follow local guidance for safe disposal of medicine and chemical products.

2. Separate daily use from backups

Daily products should be reachable without moving several things. Backups can live in a labeled bin behind or below the daily zone. This keeps the cabinet from feeling full every morning.

3. Plan for moisture

Bathrooms are humid and under-sink areas can leak. Washable plastic, metal, or coated containers may be more practical than untreated natural materials in damp zones.

4. Avoid mystery baskets

Labels do not need to be decorative. A simple label such as hair, dental, skin, first aid, or travel helps everyone return items to the same place.

5. Restock intentionally

Keep one backup of items you truly finish. Avoid keeping multiples of products you are still testing. This saves space and makes it easier to see what needs replacing.
